Volunteering at the Event

The success of the event is due in large part to our volunteers! 

We are looking for outgoing, enthusiastic volunteers who work to ensure that our guests and participants have the best experience possible!

Get Involved in the Community and Enrich Your Experience!

There will be a Volunteer Kick-Off Meeting on June 15th at 11 am in Bellevue.

  • Open to high school/college students and adults

  • All volunteers get a free Japan Fair T-shirt!

  • Each shift at the event is about 4-hour long

  • Volunteer hour certificate is available

  • Examples of Volunteering Areas

    • Now to the the event day:

      • Promotional effort (social media, marketing, distributing flyers and posters, etc.)

      • Website maintenance and updates

      • Writing/editing articles, newsletters, etc.

      • Office help (general)

    • At the event:

      • Vendor/Exhibitor Help

      • Info Desk Help

      • Kids' Area

      • Raffle Ticket Sales

      • Stage Help

      • Workshop assistants

      • T-shirt sales

      • Floaters... and more!

  • Parking ticket will be validated after your volunteer shift if you park at the Meydenbauer garage.  Otherwise, please be responsible for your transportation.

Volunteer Kick-Off Meeting
Date/Time: Saturday, June 15th at 11:00am-12:00pm
Location: Bellevue Children’s Academy (14640 NE 24th Street, Bellevue 98007)

We will host a volunteer information session to allow our volunteers to meet one another, their section leads, and answer any questions you may have.
