Contest Rules:

 

General Guidelines

• The Mascot should reflect the Japanese theme of Japan Fair and the zodiac for this year; the Rabbit.

• No animated formats or copyright-protected characters may be submitted; all art and characters must be original compositions.

• All submissions become the property of Japan Fair for use in promoting our event, website, and related activities. Japan Fair reserves the right to make slight alterations and modify the original design for promoting the fair, website, and related activities.

• Once the winner has been decided, all rights to the drawings will return to the artist, except for the winner, which will be returned after the following contest concludes.

• Any nudity (implied or actual), drug paraphernalia, or other non-family-friendly content in submissions will be grounds for removal of those images from the contest. Japan Fair reserves the right to remove any submission it deems inappropriate.

• The final winning mascot will be chosen by vote of Japan Fair staff.

• All submissions will be entered into a drawing for a $25 Amazon Gift Card.

• The Mascot Design selected as the Virtual Japan Fair 2023 Mascot will also win a $100 Amazon Gift Card!

 

Submissions:

• It is required to have Google Account to fill out the online form. Contact us if you don't have Google Account and would like to submit it in another way.

• All artists must submit new original entries to participate in the 2023 contest. Each design must be a separate entry. Multiple entries will be accepted from each artist.

• Submitted art must contain no background, be full body characters, and should be 8.5" X 11" size and at least 300dpi (roughly 2500x3300 pixels).

• Only electronic submissions will be accepted. pdf, ai, jpg, png, gif. To submit an entry, you must fill out the form and upload your submission.

• As all your information is recorded in the database for this contest, you do not need to upload anything except the artwork you are submitting via our entry form.

• If your submission is larger than 10MB, please contact info@japanfairus.org.

• Mascot must be delivered to us by: Monday, March 13, 2023.

コンテスト概要

• マスコットのテーマは今年の干支のうさぎ（卯）と日本らしさを融合したデザインを募集します。

• マスコットは平面イラストのみとし、動画は受け付けません。応募作品は未発表のもので、応募者本人のオリジナルに限ります。著作権・肖像権等、第三者の権利を侵害する描写は一切禁止します。

• 応募された作品の使用権利はジャパンフェアに帰属し、ウェブサイト、ソーシャルメディアでの使用、ポスター、グッズ作成の際にマスコットを必要に応じて一部の修整または改変をすることがあります。

• 大賞受賞者が決定された後、全ての応募作品の使用権利は応募者本人に帰属されます。大賞受賞者はイベントが終了した後に帰属します。

• 暴力的、性的、差別、反社会的な表現、またはジャパンフェアのイベントにそぐわないと判断した作品はコンテストの対象外とします。

• マスコットコンテスト大賞の決定はジャパンフェアスタッフの投票により決まります。

• 大賞受賞者には$100分のアマゾンカードが贈呈されます。また応募するだけでも$25分のアマゾンカードが当たるチャンスがあります！

応募方法​

• 応募フォームの記入はグーグルアカウントが必要となります、お持ちでない場合はジャパンフェアオフィスへ直接お問合せください。

• 複数作品の応募も可能ですが、複数応募する場合は一つずつ応募フォームへの記入と、画像のアップロードをする必要があります。

• 応募作品の背景は無地、マスコットの体全体がわかるようにしてください。サイズは8.5インチ X 11インチ（約22cm x 28cm)、300dpi以上 (約2500x3300ピクセル）です。

• 郵送での応募は受け付けていません。pdf, ai, jpg, png, gifのいずれかのフォーマットで応募フォームよりアップロードをしてください。

• 応募者情報は応募フォームより記録されますので、応募の際は作品のみをアップロードしてください。

• 応募作品が１０MB以上の場合、ジャパンフェアオフィス（info@japanfairus.org）へご連絡ください。

• マスコットコンテストの締め切り日は２０２３年３月１３日 月曜日です。
